It’s a multidisciplinary event taking place at Foqus Fondazione Quartieri Spagnoli onlus, set to be a day of testimonies, arts, dance, reflection, and creativity to combat all forms of gender violence.
“Indomitable and Resistant Daughters” stands as a celebration of art, music, creative education workshops, performances, and discussions within the female universe. This event, with free entry, unfolded on November 25th, 2023, from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, at the evocative spaces of Foqus in the Quartieri Spagnoli of Naples.
The event aimed to stimulate discussions, foster reflections, build networks, and offer avenues for information about gender violence. It was more than a one-day affair, intending to extend the conversation throughout the year, engaging institutions, associations, centers, and professionals in the ongoing fight against gender violence.
Collaboration between associations and artists formed the bedrock of this event, aiming to raise awareness, foster solidarity networks, and shatter the walls of silence. The event drew together artists, photographers, actresses, DJs, experts in entrepreneurship and empowerment, communication specialists, and active participants in political life. They congregated for the groundbreaking talk titled “The City and the New Narrative of Female Feelings,” a gathering that lasted from afternoon till midnight.

A multitude of esteemed speakers graced the event, including representatives from FOQUS, the Municipality of Naples, cooperative associations, social impact directors, cultural reviewers, advocates for women’s empowerment, and notably, a representative from the Women’s Network for Change. The representative passionately took the floor, shedding light on the prevalent issues surrounding violence against women, offering insights, and advocating for change.
Kids Lab and Workshops
Engaging activities included an Art Game Space curated for kids aged three and above, as well as circus art workshops for children between six to thirteen years old.
Performances by Various Artists
A diverse range of performances by artists like Alessandra D’Elia, Dalal Suleiman, Patrizia Di Martino, Fosca Navarra, Ina Ripari, Francesca Pacelli, Lelè ParacetaClown, and Sara Carbone added vibrancy and depth to the event.
Showcase of Dance, Photography, and Art
Dance performances by the ArtGarageDanceCo Company, photography exhibitions by Alessandra Finelli, Ljdia Musso, Sonia Loren, Yvonne de Rosa, video art by Alessandra Franco, and digital art by Raffaella Gargiulo enriched the event with artistic expressions.
Musical Rhythms by DJs
DJs like Daniela the Saint, Gretalos, La Krogh, Miz Kiara, Run.away, and Violet Monkey further enlivened the ambiance with their musical selections.
