Dorien Rookmaker is a Dutch politician and former Member of the European Parliament (2020–2024), where she served on the Committees on Transport and Tourism and Economic and Monetary Affairs. Before her term in Brussels, she was a member of the Dutch Senate and held senior roles in risk management within the banking and insurance sectors, including at Nationale Nederlanden. Since October 2020, she has been serving as the Chair of the Royal General Dutch Women’s Association, Tesselschade–Arbeid Adelt. As of May 2025, she holds the position of Director of Public Affairs at Nevomo, a pioneering European deep-tech company developing MagRail high-speed rail technology.
